The soft skills are skills needed to form and maintain relationships in different aspects of life and largely influence how you approach life and work. Sometimes they are also called “people skills’, ‘interpersonal skills’, ‘social skills’ or ‘transferable skills’.
These are particularly important for teachers who are required to interact with children, colleagues and parents on a daily basis. Having good communication, team-building, collaborative problem-solving skills, etc. along with the academic knowledge and cognitive skills needed to do the job cannot be underestimated.
